RECREATIONAL FISHING RESOURCES FOR EACH STATE IN AUSTRALIA
Whether you are new to fishing or new to Australia, it is important to know that each state has its own government department managing the rules, regulations and laws related to recreational fishing. Each department has a different name and their rules and regulations differ greatly.
Regulations are often updated so you should check back on a regular basis. One thing they all have in common is the fact that you will need some form of licence or have made some form of payment to legally fish wherever you are in Australia.
So you don’t get yourself caught out and in trouble with the law, here are links to each the department website of state and territory’s recreational fishing home page. From there you can find what you need to pay and/or what kind of licence you need.
