QUICK GUIDE TO IMPROVING YOUR KAYAK FISHING EXPERIENCE
Now that kayak fishing is a fully fledged sport, all of us with years of experience have seen a lot of changes. In the early days, you’d never see another kayak on the road or out on the water. That has all changed as many more fishos join in the fun of kayak fishing every week. Let’s take a look at ways to make our kayak fishing experience more enjoyable.
ALWAYS WORK ON YOUR PADDLING ABILITY
Kayak fishing isn’t all about fishing. Getting more out of your fishing experience involves getting better at paddling. Always work on your ability to paddle while reducing your fatigue. The better you can move about in your kayak will add time to your fishing experience.
SAY HELLO TO OTHER KAYAK FISHOS
While not all of us are social, a simple nod and a wave can make all the difference. Especially if you get into trouble and need some help.
TAKE SOMEONE KAYAK FISHING
Getting on the water without assistance can be quite daunting. Think about when you started kayak fishing and how much help was appreciated. If you take someone out for the day, remember you will need to put in the effort for the full day.
TEACH OTHERS
If someone has given you a great tip, share it with others. If everyone does this, we will all have a better time.
HELP OTHERS IN NEED
When someone looks like they are in trouble, offer them a helping hand. Even helping someone put their kayak on their car roof can have a huge impact.
REMEMBER KAYAK FISHING IS FUN
Kayak fishing is about having a great time. It is not the world series of fishing. If you are struggling, you can ask for help. Take loads of pictures and share them.
