Darwin is the capital city and about the only other place you will find more than 10 people together in one place across the Northern Territory. That’s an exaggeration of course, but if you are heading up or down the Northern Territory between Alice Springs and Darwin, you can’t really expect to meet a lot of people. There’s little over 140,000 people living there. Of course, there is everything for all budget types, and loads of great fishing to be had. If you are looking for something to do, top things that come to mind are the Mary River, the Tiwi Islands and all the gorgeous beaches of course.

The Stuart Highway begins in Darwin and ends at Port Augusta in South Australia. That’s one highway with awesome boat charters on offer at each end. Another way to get from Darwin to Adelaide is via the legendary Ghan railway over 4 days and 3 nights of colonial style luxury. It’s the most comfortable way to see the outback of Australia, that is for sure.

Darwin is packed with places to fish and camp and explore Australia without anyone in sight, or just enough around so you can enjoy meeting others at the same time. Not to mention some awesome fishing charters.

We are collecting our favourite accommodation, camping locations and help with fishing charters and where to fish so you can make your adventure happen.
