About Our Boat

We invite you to jump on board "Mr Flathead", a brand new Whitepointer 8 metre fibreglass half cab, built by the famous Australian Boat Builder Erick Hyland, Erick builds to the latest AMSA 2C survey requirements. Erick worked as an abalone diver, then as Head Boat Builder at Eden Craft before establishing his own Boat Building Company White Pointer Marine.

This vessel is based on the famous Haines Formula and is used mainly by commercial abalone divers and tuna fisherman plying the rough waters of Bass Strait and the coasts of Tassie.

This 8 metre Whitepointer is built with the very latest materials and resins resulting in a very solid boat with a transom horsepower rating of 700hp. She is foam filled for positive floatation and has a 400 litre flooded keel for enhanced stability. And the custom hardtop cabin offers great protection from the elements. (Safe Secure & Dry)

She is in full Charter Survey and is Safety Management compliant.

Fishing charters available everyday from 7.30am until 11.45am

Meeting at the Dodges Ferry Boat Ramp, on Tiger Head Road at 7.30am - just 15 minutes south of Hobart Airport, along the Port Arthur Highway.
