A modern marina with floating pens is now established as well as two good quality launching ramps for trailer boats give access to the nearby continental shelf and deep reefs via one of the safest entrances on the south coast of New South Wales. The port of Bermagui is designated as a harbour not a bar entrance meaning you do not need to wear life jackets which is required when crossing designated bar entrances.

The Tru-dee V is a 48 foot Randell Bermagui charter boat.
The largest sports fishing charter vessel on the south coast of NSW, Australia
Fully restored in 1999 she has undergone continuous upgrades.

Tru-Dee V is in NSW waterways 2C survey for 14 passengers.
The boat is available from Bermagui for day trips, multi day charters to Batemans Bay, Ulladulla, Jervis Bay  or Eden/Merimbula are also available.

A five hour drive from Sydney, three hours from Canberra and eight from Melbourne make it a very central location. The area is also a popular spot for anglers from Albury, Wagga region about a five to six hour drive.

Marlin fishing charters at Bermagui provides some of the most exciting marlin fishing in Australia.  The south coast of NSW Bermagui is the Striped Marlin the capital of Australia. Some of the biggest Blue Marlin ever caught in Australia caught here as well. Black Marlin of various sizes also make an appearance at times.

Bluefin Tuna Charters start in June, July and August. When the migrating schools are located some fast and crazy action can take place with 35kg to 70 kg fish swimming around the boat eating everything thrown in the water.

Australia’s largest yellowfin tuna are caught at Bermagui as well as albacore. The traditional run of yellowfin is May to June as well as a spring time run in September to November the season for large yellowfin tuna is May and June as well as a spring run of albacore and school yellowfin.
