EASY CAMPING BEEF N BACON CAMPING CHILLI FOR HOME TOO
This meal is so easy you can make all of it at home before you set off. If you do that well, it will even taste better when you reheat it on your campfire or portable camping stove. You can even make it at home for two meals. There is just no point cooking this one and not eating it right away at home too.
BEEF N BACON CHICKEN CHILI
Put this one together in minutes. The older it gets, the better it tastes.
2 slices thick-cut bacon
1 large onion
1 large garlic clove,
As much minced beef as you want (this recipe is for 500gms)
1 tablespoon chilli powder
1 1/2 teaspoons cumin
1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Pinch of salt
1 can chopped tomatoes
1 can tomato paste
1 cup your favourite beer
1 teaspoon Worcestershire
1 can pinto beans
You can use anything you want but I like cream over sour cream and shredded cheese – choose the cheese you want.
Cook your bacon on medium-high heat in a pot until slightly brown. Add onions and switch to a lower heat. Add your beef and brown slightly by breaking it up into smaller pieces. Stir in other ingredients and add your beans last and cook for as long as you like. You’ll need at least another 10 minutes but cooking slower gives you more taste. That is it. You are done. You can serve this one with tortilla chips along with your other dressings.
